Life-Threatening Bleeding Control

Life‑threatening bleeding requires immediate, confident action. This focused three‑hour course gives your team the practical skills to recognise a severe bleed and take effective control using proven techniques. Learners gain hands‑on experience with tourniquets, haemostatic dressings and structured assessment methods, all designed to support fast, safe decision‑making in critical situations.
To attend, participants must already hold a valid First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. Building on that foundation, the course explores how to assess the scene, identify life‑threatening bleeding, manage environmental factors and hand over efficiently to the emergency services.
Training is practical throughout. There is no written exam; instead, learners are continuously supported and assessed by the trainer. Those who demonstrate the required level of competence receive a certificate of achievement.
This course is ideal for workplaces where machinery, tools, vehicles or higher‑risk environments mean serious injuries are a realistic possibility. It equips your team with the knowledge and confidence to act quickly when every second counts.
