This half‑day course is the perfect introduction to health and safety in the workplace. It’s ideal for new starters, anyone returning to work after a long break, or staff who need a simple, practical overview of current legislation and safe working practices.

No previous experience is required, just a willingness to learn.

What the course covers:

Learners will gain a solid understanding of:

​

• The importance of maintaining good health, safety and welfare standards

• How workplace hazards and risks are identified and controlled

• The main causes and consequences of poor health and safety

• How health and safety information is communicated in the workplace​

Training is delivered in a classroom setting with plenty of opportunity for discussion and practical understanding.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the session and finishes with a short multiple‑choice test.
This qualification does not expire, but regular refresher training is strongly recommended to keep knowledge current and aligned with workplace policies and procedures.
