First Aid at Work
This 3 day (18 hour) course is particularly suited for those working in high risk environments such as light engineering, food processing, dangerous machinery & heavy plant construction, large organisations or workers in remote locations.
If you work in a low risk environment with less than 50 employees or a high risk environment with less than 5 employees, the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work certificate may be more appropriate to your needs.
What the HSE says:
-
Employers must carry out a First Aid Needs Assessment
-
The assessment determines whether you need Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or First Aid at Work (FAW)
-
Higher‑risk workplaces generally require FAW
-
Lower‑risk workplaces may only need EFAW
