The qualification is designed for individuals responsible for the care of children and infants, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle a variety of paediatric first aid situations and incidents. Its purpose is to provide learners with the essential knowledge and practical competence needed to manage a range of paediatric first aid scenarios.

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification covers Unit 1 of the two-day FAA Paediatric First Aid course. Upon achieving this qualification, learners have the option to progress to Unit 2 to complete the full two-day Award in Paediatric First Aid.
