This one‑day course provides a practical and effective approach to safer manual handling, meeting Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommendations and promoting good practice in any workplace. Everyone encounters manual handling at some point, whether lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, often combined with movements such as climbing or pivoting. When done incorrectly, these actions can lead to significant injuries, pain and lost working days.

The course highlights the real risks associated with poor manual handling and explains how correct techniques can make a substantial difference to personal safety and overall workplace wellbeing. Learners also explore the legal responsibilities placed on employers to provide appropriate information, instruction and training under current manual handling regulations.
