This two day course is essential for individuals whose First Aid at Work certification is about to expire. Once a certificate expires, the First Aider is no longer considered qualified to act in the workplace, which can leave the employer short of certified First Aiders. To maintain compliance and avoid gaps in coverage, we recommend scheduling requalification before expiration.

• Legal requirements, responsibilities, and reporting

• Casualty assessment and managing unresponsive individuals

• Control of bleeding, shock (including anaphylaxis), and choking

• Resuscitation, AED awareness, and handling fractures

• Burns, chest and eye injuries, and spinal/head injuries

• Common medical emergencies: heart attack, stroke, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, and poisoning

• Bandaging, sprains, and strains

 

On successful completion, participants will obtain the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work.
